Coordinator, Digital Media

Job Description

The Coordinator, Digital Media will be responsible for developing and implementing digital strategies for a roster of clients. Specific responsibilities will include creating and executing digital marketing plans, designing and publishing content to clients’ web sites and social media pages, writing copy, drafting and sending client e-newsletters, maintaining clients’ reference materials, managing the development of web sites and other digital properties, optimizing e-commerce strategies, composing client reports, and working directly clients and their stakeholders to communicate expectations and deliverables.


The ideal candidate will possess excellent writing skills, an experience with and/or intuition for communication design, and a strong knowledge of classical music. While experience with web development and graphic design is not required, a knack for technology and understanding of popular social media platforms are required. We are looking for a bright, organized, detail-oriented individual with at least two years of professional experience or equivalent. Familiarity with HTML, Photoshop, InDesign and Final Cut Pro, and fluency in one or more foreign languages, are all pluses.


This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Digital Media Fellowship
(September through end of December (flexible) with a commitment of up to 25 hours per week)

The Digital Marketing and New Media Fellowship provides a unique opportunity for those interested in a career in the arts, design, and technology to receive a complete overview of the workings of a digital media department. The Fellow will assist division staff with the implementation of digital marketing and new media campaigns for a roster of leading classical artists. Specific responsibilities include publishing content to websites and social media platforms, working with e-newsletter platforms, drafting website and social media copy, and uploading images and videos to websites and social media. The position is available for a term of four months (September – December 2015).

The ideal candidate will possess excellent writing skills and a strong knowledge of classical music. A working familiarity with content management systems (especially WordPress) is preferred, as is experience with basic HTML and the Adobe Creative Suite. Knowledge of one or more foreign languages is a plus.

Fall fellow
(end of August through end of December with a commitment of 25 hours per week)

Summer fellow
(mid May through end of August with a commitment of 25 hours per week)

Spring fellow
(Early January through mid May with a commitment of 25 hours per week)

The fellowship program provides an opportunity for those interested in a career in the arts to receive a complete overview of the workings of a marketing and public relations organization, while being in touch with some of the most renowned figures in the cultural sphere. Fellows assist in several phases of operation within the company and work closely with members of the 21C Media Group team.
