Caramoor Presents TENET Vocal Artists in Streamed Performance from the Music Room (Dec 12), Plus First Virtual Holiday Tea Musicale (Dec 14 – Jan 1)

The holiday season at Caramoor hits its stride with a livestreamed performance by audience favorite TENET Vocal Artists, led by Artistic Director Jolle Greenleaf, continuing the series of concerts from the Music Room that the New York Times calls “adventurous and excellent” (Dec 12). Caramoor will also offer its first Virtual Holiday Tea Musicale this season, with a streamed performance by soprano Christine Taylor Price, baritone Gregory Feldmann, and pianist Nathaniel LaNasa, as well as a self-paced virtual tour of the Rosen House (Dec 14–Jan 1). On December 18, 19 & 20, tea boxes with an assortment of signature sandwiches, pastries and teas will be available for pick-up to enjoy at home. As a new offering this year, a limited-edition Rosen House-inspired tea set is also available.

The innovative programming, virtuosic singing, and broad range of repertoire of New York City-based early-music ensemble TENET Vocal Artists, lauded by the New Yorker for “matching passion and precision,” have been showcased at Carnegie Hall, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Berkshire Bach Festival, Connecticut Early Music Festival, Festival Casals de Puerto Rico, Costa Rica International Music Festival, Montreal Baroque Festival, and many others. The group returns to the “intimate, elegant Music Room” (New York Times) at Caramoor with the special holiday program “Love Enfolds Thee Round,” inspired by the Anglican tradition of Lessons and Carols and featuring works by Warlock, Howells, Parry, Vaughan Williams, and more. The “Love Enfolds Thee Round” program can also be heard on TENET’s recording by the same name, newly released just in time for the holidays. Artistic Director Jolle Greenleaf – called a “golden soprano” and “a major force in the New York early-music world” by the New York Times – is joined in the live performance by soprano Molly Quinn, mezzo-soprano Virginia Warnken Kelsey, tenor Donald Meineke, and bass-baritone Jonathan Woody, who doubles as a composer and arranger for several pieces on the program. Lutenist Hank Heijink provides the accompaniment.

Caramoor’s first Virtual Holiday Tea Musicale continues the holiday music tradition with another festive, streamed concert from the Rosen House Music Room, decorated for the holidays; soprano Christine Taylor Price and baritone Gregory Feldmann, both alumni of Caramoor’s Schwab Vocal Rising Stars program, and pianist Nathaniel LaNasa will perform a program of holiday favorites. Along with the performance, a new self-paced virtual tour of the Rosen House will be available with the price of a ticket, and the entire program can be viewed at any time throughout the season (Dec 14–Jan 1). On December 18, 19 & 20, tea boxes with an assortment of signature sandwiches, pastries and teas to be enjoyed at home can be purchased for pick-up at Caramoor, and for gifting this season, Caramoor has created a unique new tea set – a pot, four cups, a tray, and a Caramoor tea blend – inspired by the art and architecture of the Rosen House. On the same three days, a moderated online chat at 1pm will afford the opportunity to ask questions of the Rosen House Director about the historic mansion and its collection, as well as to socialize with fellow tea-lovers.
