Deborah Voigt takes “Something Wonderful” to Carnegie Hall tomorrow

Following her much talked-about debut performances as Brünnhilde in the Metropolitan Opera’s new production of Die Walküre, Deborah Voigt moves from Wagner to show tunes when she stars in Something Wonderful: An Evening of Broadway” at Carnegie Hall tomorrow, Thursday, May 19.  This benefit concert for the Collegiate Chorale will feature songs by the likes of George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Stephen Sondheim and Rodgers & Hammerstein. Special guest artist baritone Paulo Szot joins Voigt and the acclaimed chorus, along with the American Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Ted Sperling.
