Yefim Bronfman on PBS’s Great Performances tonight
Tonight, Wednesday, August 25, PBS’s Great Performances premieres “Vienna Philharmonic’s Summer Night Concert 2010”, featuring Yefim Bronfman’s stunning interpretation of Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with the orchestra conducted by Franz Welser-Möst. The program airs at 8pm on Thirteen/WNET in New York and on PBS stations around the US (check local listings). The concert, recorded earlier this summer in the gardens of Austria’s Imperial Schönbrunn Palace, is also being released by Deutsche Grammophon on a CD titled Sommernachtskonzert 2010, which is currently available for download exclusively at iTunes.
