Four promotions and a departure at 21C Media Group
21C Media Group and its founding partners, Albert Imperato, Jessica Lustig, and Glenn Petry, are pleased to announce a number of organizational changes within the company. Sarah Segner, who joined the team in 2015 and currently serves as Senior Strategist & Operations Director, Digital & Creative Media, will be promoted to Director of Digital and Creative Media; communications Associate Elizabeth Fildes, also on the team since 2015, and Project Management Associate Katie Griffin, who joined a year earlier, will both now be promoted to Account Manager; and Project Management Associate Michael Lutz, who has been with the company since 2001 – just one year after its founding – will be promoted to Senior Account Manager and Chief Financial Officer. In their new roles, all four team members will continue to work with a wide range of clients, helping to tell their stories, hone their projects, heighten their profiles, and engage their fans and audiences, creating cultural and technological opportunities in today’s ever-evolving media landscape.
The promotions take effect on October 1, shortly before Sean Michael Gross leaves his present post as the company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer to take up a newly created leadership position as Director, Global Head of Strategy & Innovation at Askonas Holt in London. Since joining 21C eleven years ago, Gross has spearheaded multiple initiatives to keep the company and its clients competitive. Speaking for all three partners, Managing Director Albert Imperato explains:
“Sean’s contribution to the growth in size and reputation of 21C since he started with us in 2007 has been inestimable and we owe him a debt of gratitude for his tireless work ethic, creativity, management savvy and brilliant strategic thinking. Thanks to his leadership, 21C and its clients were able to thrive in the rapidly changing worlds of ‘owned’ and ‘earned’ media, and he built a team in whom we have the greatest confidence. We are thrilled that Sean will be working with our friends and colleagues at Askonas Holt, who already manage a number of our most respected clients, and equally thrilled that we will be able to recognize the achievements of some of our staffers by promoting them into positions that will allow for the fullest engagement of their potential.”
